What is Stewardship?
This framing question guides the academic, interpersonal, and extracurricular pre-k experience. Our young students are encouraged to consider the following questions: How do we take care of ourselves? How do we help take care of our family, friends, and classmates? How can we create and protect the classroom environment, and how can we nurture and preserve the natural environment? The curriculum weaves together language arts, science, math, and social studies to center on these questions of respect and responsibility. In the process of exploring, learning, and playing in community, pre-k students build critical motor skills, develop their pre-academic abilities, and gain a deeper understanding of themselves, their classmates, and the world around them.
