Travel & Study Programs at Friends School Haverford
Middle school students at Friends School Haverford are awarded the one-of-a-kind opportunity to travel to many exciting locations which relate back to and expand upon the FSH curricula. Each trip heightens students’ global awareness and offers itinerary that integrates flawlessly into the program.
Middle School – Washington, D.C.
Middle school students get an insider’s look at the nation’s capital and discover the power of their combined voices. They have the opportunity to influence government decisions as they meet members of congress and lobby together for environmental reform in Washington, D.C.
Eighth Grade – Costa Rica
The seeds of the Costa Rica Studies Program are first sown when the youngest children enter FSH. The early elementary curriculum promotes an appreciation of the earth, as well as service to others. Students begin speaking Spanish and practicing Quaker values. Within this framework of values, our eighth grade students emerge into global citizens as they experience the majesty of Costa Rica.
